[RP Town Announce] UPDATE: Town Council Work Session (August 29, 2005)

Monday, August 29, the Town Council will have its monthly work 
session at 8pm, Town Hall, 5008 Queensbury Road.  The purpose of the 
work session is to set the agenda for the legislative session the 
following week. All residents are encouraged to attend to learn about 
what is happening in town, and to bring up any concerns they might 
have.  It is especially good for residents to bring up new issues at 
the work session because  the council can research and take action 
the following week.  The only agenda item I have at this time is "Consideration 
of changes to Town Code related to dance hall permits" (i.e. should the 
law setting requirements and processes for businesses wishing to 
obtain dance hall permits be changed).

Upcoming events:

Next Tuesday, September 6, the Traffic Study committee is scheduled 
to meet at 7pm.

Next Tuesday, September 6, the Town Council Legislative Session will 
be held at 8pm.

Next Wednesday, September 7, the Mixed Use Town Center Architectural 
Review Committee was scheduled to meet at 7:30pm.  This meeting is 
cancelled, as there are no applications to review.
