[RP Town Announce] Mosquito Spraying

The Town of Riverdale Park has been scheduled for adult mosquito
surveillance and possible spraying on Tuesday nights
<x-apple-data-detectors://4> between 8:30 p.m. and 2:00 a.m. Adulticiding
began June 1, 2015, and will run through September 17, 2015. Determinations
to spray on Tuesdays will be made by the Maryland Department of Agriculture
(MDA) and will be based on the following:

 

.      Due to variable weather conditions - high winds, precipitation

.      Groups of people congregating in an area, and

.      The mosquito count on the night of the spraying

 

 The MDA cannot guarantee that surveillance or spraying will be done in any
given week.

 

Property owners are encouraged to check their properties and remove any
unnecessary water holding containers.  Calls concerning mosquito spraying
should be directed to MDA at  <tel:301-422-5080> 301-422-5080.
