[RP Town Announce] SAFETY ALERT: Assaults On/Near Hiker Biker Trail

Assaults in Riverdale Park and Hyattsville

 

Be Alert! Stay Safe!

 

Over the last two weeks in and around the town of Riverdale Park, three
women have been assaulted while walking or jogging on or near the Hiker
Biker Trail that extends through the town of Riverdale Park and the city of
Hyattsville.  The incidents have occurred during the daytime and afternoon
hours.      

 

Suspect Description: 

Black Male / 20-30 years old / 5'10" - 6+ft. tall / thin build / short hair
/ medium brown complexion / light facial hair.

 

The suspect wore a yellow construction safety vest in two incidents (He may
have had the initials CR and a red 'block type' logo on the back of the
vest)

 

On June 8th, 2015, the suspect wore a Gray Washington Nationals tee shirt
with "Strasburg 37" on the back.  On one incident, the suspect had a blue
ski mask.  

 

Please call the Riverdale Park Police at 301-927-4343 to report any
