CONSTRUCTION UPDATE NOTICE
October 10, 2016
Pile Installation for the New CSX Bridge Crossing to Begin the Week of October 17, 2016
Work will soon begin on the installation of piles for the new CSX bridge crossing at Riverdale Park Station. The pile installation work for the bridge is significant and will generate noise around that area. The construction will be monitored to assure compliance with County noise regulations and work hours of 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday - Friday. The work is scheduled to begin the week of October 17, 2016 and continue for approximately 12-14 weeks.

Shirley Contracting, the builder of the CSX bridge crossing, is currently installing silt fences and is clearing and grubbing the site in preparation of the pile installation. Shirley Contracting began digging the west abutment for the bridge last week with the piles scheduled to arrive this week.

While this will create a temporary inconvenience for area residents, when completed the new bridge will greatly improve mobility in the area.
