NH2 Bus Service
Prince George's County will have a New Regional Bus Service (NH2) coming to the National Harbor starting on October 23rd.
LARGO, MD - Prince George's County residents will have a new regional bus route that will start on Sunday, October 23, 2016. This new service will provide Prince George's County and Northern Virginia residents with a bus connection between downtown National Harbor, Old-Town Alexandria, Fairfax County, and surrounding communities. The new National Harbor- Northern Virginia Metrobus line, the "NH-2", will serve the King Street MetroRail Station in Alexandria, and the Huntington MetroRail Station in Fairfax County and then travel non-stop to and from the National Harbor area via the Capital Beltway.
At National Harbor, the NH-2 will serve shops, restaurants, and hotels along the waterfront, Tanger Outlets, the Oxon Hill Park and Ride commuter lot and the future MGM Casino. It will also connect customers to local bus routes operated by Prince George's County Department of Public Works and Transportation (DPW&T), known as "The Bus", which provides service to Oxon Hill, Camp Springs, Forest Heights and Fort Washington communities in Prince George's County. "The addition of this new bus route is an important transit link for Prince George's County and Northern Virginia that will improve travel options for Prince George's County residents, workers and visitors," said Darrell B. Mobley, Director of the Department of Public Works and Transportation.
Direct connections with the Huntington MetroRail Station on the Yellow line and the King Street MetroRail Station on the Blue and Yellow lines will facilitate greater regional transit access to popular destinations in Prince George's County. The NH-2 will operate from 6 a.m. to 1 a.m. seven days a week with service will be provided every 30 minutes on both weekdays and weekends.
