Tour of the Prince George's Organics Composting Facility, Upper Marlboro, Friday, June 8, 10-11:30 am. Learn how the yard waste composting using windrows and the food scrap composting using Gore technology transform organic waste into a valuable soil amendment, while diverting materials from the landfill. The facility is also conducting a one-year pilot of curbside collection of food scraps and soiled paper items.
