[RP Town Announce] Interest in Potential Walk, Bike, Drive Advisory Committee

The Town of Riverdale Park is considering the creation of a Walk, Bike, Drive Advisory Committee. This advisory committee would provide input to the Council and Town staff on the annual Capital Improvement Project Plan and Walk, Bike, Drive Safety Initiative programs and plans.

The Advisory Committee would be comprised of the following advisory members:

  *   One member with education and/or experience in transportation planning and/or urban design
  *   One member with education and/or experience in civil engineering
  *   One member with education and/or experience in public accessibility
  *   One member with education and/or experience in urban bicycling
  *   One school representative from both Riverdale Elementary School and College Park Academy
  *   One resident member not requiring specific education or experience
  *   One TRP located business member not requiring specific education or experience

At this time, the Town would like to gauge the community's interest in the creation of the Walk, Bike, Drive Advisory Committee, and membership. If you would be interested in serving on an Walk, Bike, Drive Advisory Committee in one of the capacities listed above, please send an email to community_input at riverdaleparkmd.gov<mailto:community_input at riverdaleparkmd.gov> indicating your education, experience, or membership in one of the categories listed above by Friday, January 5th.


La Ciudad de Riverdale Park está considerando la creación de un Comité Asesor para Caminar, Andar en Bicicleta y Conducir. Este comité asesor brindaría información al Concejo y el Personal de la Ciudad sobre el Plan anual del Proyecto de Mejora de Capital y los programas y planes de la Iniciativa de Seguridad para Caminar, Andar en Bicicleta y Conducir.
El Comité Asesor estaría integrado por los siguientes miembros asesores:

  *   Un miembro con educación y/o experiencia en planificación de transporte y/o diseño urbano.
  *   Un miembro con educación y/o experiencia en ingeniería civil.
  *   Un miembro con educación y/o experiencia en accesibilidad pública
