The Public Safety Forum took place last week. It was (unfortunately)
quite sparsely attended.
We discussed some of the recent incidents in Ward 2 in great detail.
While it obviously was not all good news, it was very comforting to
hear how on top of things the police are.
The most important thing is that we have two new officers in training
right now. They will be ready within the next month or two. When
both of these new officers are on duty, we will have reached the
staffing level at which our detective can stop doing patrols and go
back to solving cases full-time.
And these are not the only police we are hiring. We are on a steady
march toward full staffing.
