[RP TownTalk] More on Fencing

I know this is a late suggestion, since there is so much on the table now about fencing, but I thought it would be lovely if the town could offer financial incentives to people to get rid of their chain link fencing in their front yards.  We took ours down at 4813 and were so glad we did so before we sold and moved to 4811.    
   
  Side and back fences are great.  6' is great, especially for people who have dogs or have a great desire for privacy.  However, a persons front yard, in part, belongs to the whole town.  Attractive, inviting front yards will make an attractive, inviting town.  
   
  We should be able to find a compromise between allowing people to 'do their own thing', which is part of what is great about Riverdale Park, and having neighborhoods that look cared for and inviting.  I think allowing 6' fences on the side and back while having limits for the front yards can accomplish that.

since fences are terribly expensive
- to help homeowners who do not
have money for nice fencing & own
a dog or just want a fence - maybe
the town could develop a Board 
showing the diff types of fencing
allowed.

Also maybe we could develop a
fence team experienced in putting
up fencing that would be much
cheaper than hiring outside the 
town - to give homeowners a
choice in cost.
