Here is another event to consider for your Halloween fun:

S&J is having a costume contest (cash prize) and karaoke night, Oct 31 starting at 8 p.m.

Update on Gothic Evening...
>Does anyone know if the Gothic Evening would be appropriate for kids?
It is aimed at teens and adults. They feel that younger kids might be bored 
by Gothic novels but it should not be too scary for them.

Other kid friendly events is the Flight Night Saturday night, and especially the
Pets on Parade Sunday afternoon, and of course, their own trick n' Treating 
Tuesday night.

A Gothic Evening at Riversdale, Friday, Oct 27, 7:30-8:30 p.m., Lantern-guided tours and 
Gothic tales of horror, romance, and intrigue. $5, light refreshments, info: 301-864-0420.
Riversdale Mansion, 4811 Riverdale Road, Riverdale Park. Aimed at teens and adults.
 
Halloween Pets on Parade, Sunday, Oct. 29, 2006, Noon - 4 p.m.
This great event is back. Laugh and awe at the dogs, kids and adults in costume. Great fun.
Prizes for Everyone. (Pet costumes loaned to those who need them).  Pet photo shoot,
food vendors (Calvert House), live music, dog obedience demo, and dog rescue and care Info.

Trick-or-Treating in Riverdale Park is 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 31. 
If you prefer to not have little goblins at your door, please turn off your porch and outside lights.
