Dear community gardeners:

This week showed us the hottest weather we've seen, and when the  
mercury goes north of 100, there is little to be done in the garden.   
But, as the week ends, the weather forecasters are predicting a cool  
and comfortable 87 degrees for tomorrow, and we're excited to get out  
there and get our hands back in the ground.

And we invite you!  Normally we just plea for volunteers on Saturday,  
but this week, because we were unable to get to the Riverdale Farmers  
Market, we have a surplus of fresh veggies that we would love to give  
you in exchange for some volunteer time.  We've harvested eggplant,  
hot and sweet peppers, cucumbers, and okra, and have plenty of basil,  
thyme, cherry tomatoes, strawberries, kale, and collards to share.   
So, come to the Master Peace Community Garden for some fun and  
comfortable community gardening, and go home with some delicious and  
fresh vegetables.
