I respectfully suggest that this e-mail should promptly be forwarded
to the current Adelphi Recreation e-mail list, with a request that

The image inserted below (or attached) is taken from a "Wanted"
poster produced by the Montgomery County Police Department. It is a
drawing of g of an unidentified suspect who is being sought for the
rape of a woman on the evening of July 4, not far from the
intersection ofAdelphi Road and New Hampshire Avenue. That attack
occurred (barely) over the Montgomery County county line. However,
since March there have been five other reported rapes and sexual
assaults on or near Adelphi Road within Prince George's County, all
using the same general method, and all by an individual or
individuals meeting the same general description as the attacker who
is depicted in the drawing.
All six attacks occurred from 8:50 PM to just after midnight. Two of
the PG County attacks occurred by the George Washington Cemetery that
borders Adelphi Road and Riggs Road, north and west of Adelphi Pool.
Two others occurred in the Buck Lodge neighborhood, not far east of
Adelphi Pool.
The most recent attack, on July 5, was about three miles further
south, at the intersection of Adelphi Road and Belcrest Road in
Hyattsville. The mother of the victim of the Hyattsville assault has
written an account which has been posted on the Internet, here:http://

Regarding the man depicted in the drawing, according to a July 19
report on WRC-TV, "Prince George's County police detectives said they
think it could be the same subject in their July 5 [Hyattsville] case
and four others in the Adelphi area. The victim of the most recent
attack in Hyattsville said the sketch looks like the man who
assaulted her."
