[RP TownTalk] Logo contest for Riverdale Park Farmer's Market

Riverdale Park Farmer's Market Fans:

Here's a friendly competition for the creative brains of our
neighborhood -- the Riverdale Park Farmer's Market wants to boost our
marketing appeal and needs your help.

We'd like an attractive logo, a new promotional flyer, and possibly
even a T-shirt to draw attention to our town and our market. So if you
have mad skills, please give us a hand!

Guidelines:

A. LOGO
Wanted:  a logo that captures the spirit and fun of our town farmer's
market.   It might potentially reflect:
- our small town / community feel
- the fresh, local produce
- the heritage of Maryland agriculture /small farming
- the diversity of our neighborhoods
- or other positive attributes that you think make our market unique

We'd also like the logo to be usable at different scales and in a
variety of color formats. Because we are a volunteer enterprise,
budget is important -- the logo should be useful in black and white as
well as in color. It should be reproducable at business card size up
to banner size. The graphic files should be idiot-proof for non-pro's.

B. PROMOTIONAL FLYER
Wanted:  a cool one pager that has English on one side and Spanish on
the back.  It should promote the location, time, dates, and offerings
available, and get people excited about the market.  A BW version that
photocopies well and a color version for window posters would be
great. (We can provide Spanish translation if you want to just submit
a design in English.)

Time:  May 17 - Nov 1, 2007 every Thursday from 3 pm to 7 pm

Location: Riverdale Park Historic Town Center
6220 Rhode Island Ave, Riverdale Park, MD 20737
Near the Riverdale Park MARC station

Fresh seasonal produce direct from Maryland farms. Artisan breads,
eggs and honey, bedding plants, soaps and pottery, fresh cut flowers
and more.

C. A TRULY COOL T-SHIRT

over, we want to see your design!

receive a $50 gift certificate to spend at the Riverdale Park Farmer's
Market.  Deadline for entry: April 30, 2007.
