[RP TownTalk] Giant Closing

Although we have only lived in Riverdale Park for seven years, we have come to depend on the Giant at Riverdale Plaza and know their employees.  Granted, this Giant does not have the stock and variety of larger stores, but for many of our local families this store has been a mainstay.  I was saddened to hear the news and in talking with one of the long-time employees yesterday, she shared that Giant's offer of help in reemployment was to offer her a job in Edgewater!  Surely they could do better by their long-time employees.
