Is somebody in the RP police department on this list and "hearing" all of
this discussion?

Nancy

Subject: [RP TownTalk] suspicious activity?

I don't know if this quite warrants suspicious activity, but my son and I
were out biking last evening a little after 7pm. We biked down to the end of
Lafayette where it meets up with Rivertech Rd. At the corner was an old
Chevy pickup truck w/cab (light blue with silver doors) dropping off a guy
who walked through the path up to the train tracks. We biked to the parking
lot of the abandoned building there where my son played on the pile of dirt
for 30 minutes or so. The truck parked at the far end of the parking lot, a
guy got out and seemed to be cleaning out his trunk--looked like he threw
some trash in the bushes, moved a gas container from his truck bed to the
front seat, got back in his car and just waited for about 10 minutes. Then
he drove to the other end of the parking lot (closer to the building),
parked and waited for another 10 minutes. I got the sense he was waiting to
see if his buddy re-emerged from the train tracks, but this is pure
conjecture on my part. He then drove off back down Lafayette.

I did not phone this in to the police as I could not make out the license
plate and the truck was a good 30 minutes gone by the time I got home.

If anyone recognizes this vague description of the truck and knows that it
is somebody who lives in town, please speak up.

Thanks,
Marc
