Hi All!
I live very close to that apartment building. I know the traffic you are
talking about. Black Pick-up truck, guys in the front, both sides.
Pedestrians approach the drivers side and lean in, then go away. Over and
over and over. The passenger must be a lookout. I walk past and by the
time I get into the house, they are pulling off. I'm afraid to stop
mid-street to write down license plate numbers, but it may come to that. I
really, really don't want to get shot. I can't tell you how much I don't
want to get shot. LOL
Holly. I was in Holly's position last year. What Holly needs is money and
lots of it. Can we do a spaghetti dinner fund raiser? Something? Also -
Medicaid. I know it's nobody's first line of defense, but we pay into the
pot for our entire lives, and we should look at it like any other insurance
policy. We use it when we need it. It will pay medical and prescription
bills, not to mention Medicaid pays for cab fare to the doctor appointments.
They will also retro-cover for 3 months prior to applying. It's a hassle
and I know you don't need that right now, but trust me when I tell you, it
will help later. I lost my house and my car because I didn't follow through
and apply in time. Bite the bullet. One of us can baby-sit while you go
apply. It will save you from a whole lot more grief. Does anyone have a
connection at the County Level? Let us know about the Fund Raiser. Who
could do that?
Local Business:
* I stopped into the new pet store today. It is priced lower than
PetSmart, the owners are wonderful and knowledgeable and other than being
really hot in there (the AC isn't on yet), it is a splendid store. Check it
out tomorrow while you're at the Farmer's Market.
* Reminder: Crescent Cities Flea Market is this Friday. It's gonna be
slammin! 8AM - 4PM, Jerked Chicken lunch platter with drink $6.00.
* The new crossing lights at Queensbury and Rte 1 are finally working
and they are a terrific safety feature.
* Any word on when they are going to start cleaning out the culverts?
Sue
