Yes, if you take daily walks w/ your dog (large or
small), you can see what's "normal" or "not normal" in
your neighborhood. Or even if you don't have a dog -
I don't have a car and I do a lot of walking, and I
think I'm more familiar with a lot of things (and
people) in my neighborhood than people who don't walk
around. So maybe that's another incentive for people
to walk, not only do we get exercise, but we can keep
an eye out for each other? (goes without saying, I
don't walk at night, though, and I wouldn't recommend
it unless you're with a fairly large group - I'd
imagine even just 2 or 3 people would stand a chance
of getting robbed, etc).
To those who've commented on what's going on outside
my apartment building, thanks for the information - as
I said, my apartment doesn't face the front of the
building, so I can't see the "traffic." As was said
in another post, if it looks suspicious, it probably
is, and the police should be called to deal with
whatever's going on. Thanks again for letting me
know what you're seeing.
