[RP TownTalk] Dog park?

Good afternoon everyone!
 
I have been thinking about the recent posts that came across about the idea
of creating a dog park.  I would be glad to lead the process if anyone else
is interested in developing this idea.
 
Someone mentioned the space between the school and the river.  Considering
the fact that it is so close to me (bonus!) I think it would be great.  Off
hand, does anyone know who owns that piece?  City?  Parks?  Does anyone know
of any other good locations for it?  
 
I'd like to see if those that would be interested in working on the project
would be able to get together to discuss it.  Some ideas to think about?
 
How big does it need to be?  How do we deal with waste?  Safety issues
(vaccinations, aggressiveness issues, etc)?  Rules?  Governance?  Who
regulates it?  Hours of operation?  Costs (membership fees)?  Do we want to
subsidize costs by leasing to trainers, etc during some hours or have a
separate space for them to rent?
 
So, let me know if you'd like to work on this.  Perhaps we could me for a
dinner meeting (something relaxed and informal to encourage the flow of
ideas) soon.
