Dear fellow denizens of the elder decades,

Do either of you claim Andy Rooney as a relative?

Dwight,
The Old Coot feels your pain. We can't remember to get both the shopping
list and the reusable bags out of the kitchen at the same time! You
would think that this would be an advantage of multiple personalities,
but Nooooo! Perhaps this is a case were the whole is equal to _less_
than the sum of its parts.

For weeks I have been carrying around a big trash bag of plastic bags in
the back of my truck. It is a big bag because I couldn't remember to
take the small bags of bags to the truck when I was going to the store.
Now I can't remember to take the big bag from the parking lot to the
store. Thank god plastic is light so it doesn't effect my gas mileage!

Dwight, good luck leaving the reusables in the car. I have found if they
are not on the top of the pile.... Maybe I need a check list 1) keys 2)
shopping list, 3) old plastic bags 4) new reusable bags 5) pants 6) ...

Or maybe I need someone to remind me. No I've tried that. Its cheaper
to keep buying reusable bags.

While we are on the subject, what is the deal at Giant? Sometimes the
checkout person deducts $0.03 for each reusable bag used, sometimes not.
And how do you get the $0.03 in the self check counter?
