[RP TownTalk] Kitten Found

An ADORABLE kitten, short hair, gray striped, with while paws and blue eyes, I'd guess about 6 weeks old, walked into our yard this morning.  My daughter is head-over-heels in love, but my husband and I are allergic to cats.  : (  .  Hope & Joe walked up and down the street to see if anyone owns it, but no one has claimed it.  From my limited experience it is not feral.  (In that it is very friendly).  

We hate to leave it outside with the rats, 'coons, and other critters as it would be pretty helpless.  We have it in an empty room in our basement with a small box of sand, water, and we've fed it some minced roast chicken.  

Any suggestions, anyone?  I know there was a lot of talk about rescue leagues recently, but I didn't pay much attention as I've never had a need-to-know.  ; )
