[RP TownTalk] Gerard Kiernan's passing

To the many friends of Gerry,

Our Mr Kiernan passed quietly this morning of complications from
stomach cancer.  He was 61.

Gerry fell sick on the 11th of August, and was only free of his
hospital bed for a few hours after that date.  He was fortunate enough
to have the time to set his affairs in order and reconcile himself
spiritually with death.

He was very well-attended in the hospital, having the benefit of an
excellent doctor and the support and prayers of a vast network of
friends and cousins.

Gerry remained his gruff, obstreperous self to the end.  He met death
bravely and without flinching, carrying the confidence of a man of
faith.

Please let other friends around the Riverdale Park community know.
