[RP TownTalk] Wiki poll: Our Commute

Thanks again to all those who took the time to go to the Wiki and
answer the poll questions.  This subject was a bit complex to run
using the available, simplistic (free) online polling software. I only
compounded the problem by first structuring it in a way that wouldn't
allow everyone to see all the results; and then, in my "fix" I managed
to omit an important response choice for one of the questions. "My
bad!"

If anyone would like to put a poll question on the Wiki (or add any
other content to the Wiki, or suggest a poll question) please don't
hesitate! I'm encouraged by the fact we've had well over 300 visitors
(and many more page hits) since announcing the first Wiki poll about
12 days ago... But there's a lot more we can do to make this the
resource I know it can be.

Anyway, here are the results, thus far. Polls are still open: so if
you haven't responded as yet, please do so now!  Looks like all told
27 people responded (though not everyone answered every question).

Most frequent responses:
1] Commute lasts 16-30 minutes (30%)
2] Slightly more than half use a car for part or all of their commute
(54% vs 46% who don't)
3] Of those who use the car, most drive alone and drive all the way to work
4] Of those who don't use the car at all, we have a tie between those
who bike (22%) and those who use a combination of walk + MARC + Metro
(22%), although this is the question I messed up by leaving out the
obvious response choice of "Walk + Metro" so I wouldn't give too much
credence to the results on this one.

Complete response totals (adding responses from both respondents in a
household):

Q1. My usual commute to work takes me about

1 - 15 minutes [6 = 22%]
16 - 30 minutes [8 = 30%]
31 - 45 minutes [6 = 22%]

I use the car to drive from home to work – and drive alone [9=36%]
I use the car to drive from home to work – and share a vehicle with
others [1=4%]
