Easier to get to AND we have a smoking ban up here.  The last time I went to
the Birchmere, I left with a headache and a sore throat.  I'm not used to
being around smokers, anymore, so it hit me hard. There aren't many bands
I'd be willing to put up with that for, any more.

This is awesome news!  (Not that it replaces the Surf Club -- somehow I
don't see them pulling in Zydeco bands at the Birchmere.
Nonetheless, it's a helluva lot easier to get to than North Alexandria!
(and when the Trolley Line Hiker-Biker Trail is finished.... :-) )
