In your TownTalk emails, if you see the line:
"An HTML attachment was scrubbed"
then parts of the message are missing.
If this is a problem for you, then read the rest
of this email.
This only happens if you receive the DIGEST form in
the "PLAIN TEXT" format (instead of the "MIME" format).
With the MIME format, you will see all the text, and
things like tables, bold, italics and attachments.
The list manager software recommends the MIME format,
but for TownTalk the default format is PLAIN TEXT.
So you have to manually select the MIME format.
A few old email programs handle MIME poorly. But for
most people MIME is far better. Try it. You can always
revert back.
Follow these steps to receive the digest in MIME format:
1) Go to
http://riverdale-park.org/mailman/options/towntalk
2) It will ask you to enter your TownTalk email address
and/or password. Do so and click Login. (If you don't
know your password, then click on the "Remind" button
at the bottom of the page to be sent a password reminder.)
3) A page entitled "TownTalk mailing list membership
configuration" will display.
4) Scroll down to the 3rd option entitled:
"Get MIME or Plain Text Digests?"
4) On the right side, click the small circle next
to the word "MIME".
5) Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the
"Submit My Changes" button. (The page will refresh).
6) Optionally, click the "Log out" button in the upper
right corner, or just close your browser.
