Dear Day Lilly Lovers:

I could not help but read your messages with chagrin. In 2000, when we moved here to RP, my sunken garden was filled with day lillys. I wanted to have more of a garden; vegetables, other flowers, shrubs, etc. We set about digging up and replanting day lillys along our right away, but still had hundreds of lillys to deal with. I asked numerous neighbors in ward 2 if they wanted them and no one did. So, we ended up giving hundreds of lillys/bulbs to our old neighbors in Takoma Park! Too bad! Perhaps we can talk about digging up my front right of way and dividing the bulbs?

Marita

P.S. some may recall my desire to form a RP gardening club so we can exchange bulbs, bushes, etc.
