We need this sort of operation on Belcrest road across from Prince George's Plaza metro station. There is a pedestrian walkway before the actual intersection of Belcrest and East West Highway, but there is less than a 5% chance that cars will actually stop on any given day. There is a sign posted and claims, in the Gazette, that this is monitored, but I have never seen any officers around.

Actually, there was an operation Just Like This at the corner of
East-West Highway and Adelphi Road a couple of months ago. A number of
motorists who turned right from E-W Highway failed to yield to
pedestrians who would step into the crosswalk just as the "Walk" sign
started flashing. There were 4-5 cars pulled off to the side getting
tickets when Alan drove past....
