Regarding the Wind Energy seminar, Jim Groves adds:

For a little more money each month, you can be totally Carbon Free as
far as your energy goes. Go ahead, turn on the extra
light - no coal burned up to produce the electricity!!

How much more? When you add in everything, around 3 cents per KW/H. At
900 Kwh/month, that's $27...and remember ZERO Carbon output. No strip
mining, no pollution, no mountain top removal. Just clean, everlasting
air. If you turn off your lights when you leave the room, replace your
bulbs with CFL's, unplug Vampire stuff (cell phone charges, stereo's),
get an adjustable thermostat, you'll knock down your Kwh usage and save
that extra your paying.

So, please, at least come and here what he has to say. He will talk some
about solar as well. Again, this is open to EVERYONE, not just
Hyattsville Residents.

Please remember to come and invite friends and neighbors! The flyer for
the event can be found on the HOPE website here:

It's at 7:00pm on the 2nd Floor of the Municipal Center.

We have the following door prizes so far:
1. HOPE/Hyattsville Wiki T-shirt - Size large and 3X!
2. Fleece Pullover
3. Sweet Canvas bag that says "Plastic Bags Blow" on it!
4. CFL's (of course!)
5. Hmmm, I'll think of a few more things as well.

The swag is secondary really. [Learning how to save the environment at a
reasonable cost is first.]
