The Mixed-Use Town Center (M-U-TC) Architectural Review committee will meet
tomorrow ("today" by the time most of you see this note) in Town Hall, 5008
Queensbury Road, at 7:30 pm.

There are two items on the agenda.

The first is to finalize approval of work on many of the properties in the
historic core of Riverdale Park's town center owned by Douglas Development.
Much of this work was completed under a permit issued before the M-U-TC
zoning was in place, but a renewal request on the permit triggered M-U-TC
review in June. The committee approved the plan in June, finding that it met
all applicable mandatory technical standards, but the plans were not stamped
and signed at that meeting. Dineene O'Connor (staff liaison with the Maryland
National Capital Park and Planning Commission) will provide answers to a few
questions raised by committee members regarding the plans approved in June.

The second agenda item is to consider an application to approve an
already-constructed deck attached to the S&J Tavern at 6108 Rhode Island
Avenue. Because of the size (square footage) of the deck in comparison to
the size of the tavern, a review of the entire site (not just the deck) must
be performed.

Members of the public are welcome at the meeting.

Alan Thompson
M-U-TC Architectural Review Committee Chair
