thought this might be of interest - status update on the EYA II (our side of
Route 1).

my guess is this will happen before any Wachovia construction at Rt 1 @
410!

 Sean,

The last information we have is that there was a lease-out threshhold of 50%
of the planned retail space before construction would begin, and
reaching that benchmark requires EYA sign just one more tenant. So its
close.

Any locals out there ready to start up a new retail enterprise? Please
give us a call at the Hyattsville CDC, and we'll help you to get started.

  Howdy All,

August has come and gone, and September is nearly over.... so what's the
deal with the ground-breaking of the East EYA development? I don't know
about you all, but I want my Busboys and Poets and my Thai place to come
sooner than later.

I know that a contract has been signed with Busboys, but with the economic
slowdown I'm a little concerned that the product has been shelved, or at
least put on the back burner.

Updates, comments, or rumors?

-Sean
