The new sign has a lot of implications and can be taken to mean a whole variety of things... all of them negitive for Riverdale Park.

Most critical: which town/city collects taxes on Cafritz development?
If College Park gets development, how deeply does it diminish RP?
My take: Certainly appears as a slap in in the face, slice at the tax base is looming. What do we really know?
And, how far away is it that we'll be pushing carts through Whole Foods in Riverdale Park? Just 15 months ago the RP Business Association was told by WF's rep that it would open a new store in RP at the Cafritz compound in 2011. He was earnest in his proclamation. 2011 was an eternity then, a nap away now. What's the progress?
My dollars wait for growth before the tax man jails me...
Until then, I am keeping my wrists as far apart as possible ...

Here's an idea: Time for the town council to go-go at the chief/CEO of Matchbox Pizza about rethinking his affection for RP. THis time downtown RP -- Town Center. The CEO told me 18 months ago that he "liked" RP but needed the other kind of dough to get baking in Maryland. Do we have an affection for raising the crust or are we just gonna be mushrooms?
And, yes, we do have apartments available today... 301-502-1243.
