You can get used 55-gallon drums from the Pepsi bottling plant in 
Cheverly for very cheap (they have some smaller sizes, too).  They are 
food-grade, they had Pepsi syrup in them, so you can use them to water 
your veggies, no worries.  Here is a 1-page PDF from EPA that tells how
