Thanks for the information about the Metrobus detour; yesterday morning when I went to catch the bus across from S&J's I saw the signs saying the stop had been discontinued, so I had to walk up to Baltimore Avenue across from Rite Aid to catch the bus.  Being as my arthritic knee was giving me grief, it wasn't fun.  Later in the day, I saw that the signs had been taken down.  Speaking for myself and many other people between Taylor Road and Route 1, I hope that Metro reconsiders permanently rerouting the buses.  As I said, I have arthritis and there's many other people who I'm sure have physical problems or have to take small children on the bus who'd be greatly inconvenienced by any rerouting.  And it's not like these incidents w/ the buses and trains happen every day; I've lived in the Riverdale/Riverdale Park area for 50 years and the incident last week was a "first" as far as I'm aware.  Rather than re-structure the route because of one wreck in 50
 years, Metro should re-train their drivers about proper safety procedures around railroad crossings.
