[RP TownTalk] A few November programs at Riversdale

Hi everyone! I hope you're enjoying this lovely fall weather we're
having! If you're looking to enjoy an outing or two this November, make
sure Riversdale is on your list! This Saturday, November 7, from
10am-2pm, the University of Maryland's ANTH298c class will be hosting a
Public Archaeology Day on the grounds of Riversdale. This semester, the
class has made Riversdale their project. For the past few months,
students have been clearing, excavating, and analyzing findings from
several test pits on the grounds. Come enjoy tours of the archaeology
site and take a peek at the building foundation and objects that are
being uncovered! (Note: Test pits are located near the edge of the gated
parking lot.)

 

Saturday, November 14 marks our Regency Ladies' Day. Step into the 19th
century as you take part in popular pastimes including a period form of
scrapbooking, pressing flowers, blending perfumes, and more! You might
not walk away from Riversdale with your very own Mr. Darcy, but you will
leave having had an enjoyable day! The cost is $50 for residents of
Prince George's & Montgomery Counties and $60 for non-resident friends. 

 

As hard as it is to believe, December is right around the corner and
Riversdale is preparing for the festive season! Call for information

Saturday, December 5:   Breakfast with Sint Niklaas (limited space!)

Saturday, December 12:             Festival of Lights (Riversdale will
be a stop during the Town of Riverdale Park's event)

Sunday, December 27:               The Calverts by Candlelight
