[RP TownTalk] the mosaic apartment project

Melissa,

Sorry I seem to have mislead you in my report at the council meeting.
Actually what I meant to report was that I was approached by a developer
that had participated in a tour of County District 3 conducted by Eric Olson
and his staff of development/redevelopment opportunities. This particular
developer (sorry I'm away from records I don't have the company name) is
finishing "Mosaic at Turtle Creek" the new apartments near the Prince
George's metro and is looking for opportunities to either renovate or
completely rebuild multifamily dwellings. Most of the apartment stock in
Riverdale Park is of course located between the Northeast Branch and
Kenilworth Avenue. Because most of these complexes are becoming fairly old
and nearing the end of their useful lifespan, I agreed to assist the
developer in making contact with the owner's of existing apartment complexes
to see if we can get some revitalization going.

There is no proposal or plan currently on the table. When and if that
changes we will of course see that promptly go to the public--probably in a
mayor's report to the council and in my regular reports via the Town Crier.

Best wishes,

Vern
