Here's a job description for two volunteer positions in our Annual Festival
of Lights & Holiday Market on December 11, 2010.

SEASONALReindeer Needed to Guide RP Holiday Trolleys Do you like to give
direction?  Can you read a crude map? Do you mind wearing fake antlers?  If
you answered YES to these questions, Riverdale Park has a volunteer position
for you! Riverdale Park Reindeer's guide Festival of Lights trolley drivers
through the town. While townsfolk and visitors sing carols and gaze upon
spectacular high-wattage holiday decor, Reindeer keep trolley drivers from
getting lost on the job. Jolly disposition and bulbous red nose a plus. Only
adults may apply for this 1.5 to 3 hour stint on the evening of Dec 11.
Position reports to Head Trolley Elf but considered managerial. Antlers
supplied by management.

bELF HELPVolunteers sought to spread cheer, encourage merriment, Do you like
to sing? Do you like to sing holiday songs? Are red and green "your"
colors?If you answered YES to all of these questions, consider taking on a
1.5 hour shift as a Riverdale Park Festival of Lights Trolley Elf. As a
Trolley Elf you will have a front and center role in the Town's Dec. 11
holiday market and Festival of Lights celebration. Your job: Leading
passengers in song AND oohs and ahhhs as they repeatedly encounter
super-fantastic holiday displays! Elf ensemble strongly encouraged but not
supplied. All elves must be at least 13 years of age. Susceptibility to
motion sickness definitely NOT A PLUS.
