[RP TownTalk] Route 1 and Queensbury Road

I have another issue with this intersection. Anytime after three oclock in the afternoon rush when the uncontious commuters on Rt,1 following the line of cars in front of them,  fill the intersection and block it and create gridlock.Sometimes it takes two three and four cycles of the light to get someone who won't block the intersection.
Would it be possible to paint hashmarks diagonally across the intersection like up at Rt.410  At BW Parkway, with big signs that say DO NOT BLOCK THE INTERSECTION.

I just walked up to Rite Aid and back, at 1:00 and 1:10 respectively this (Saturday) afternoon.

This is the line on Queensbury waiting for the intersection at Route 1.  Because of the cars going east you don't get the full impact of seeing them backed up past the tracks, but they were.  This is what it looked like on both legs of my walk.
