Bruce I am fairly certain our county tax dollars are safe.  The article
specifically cites how the iPads are being paid for: "The iPads are being
provided using Title I American Recovery and Reinvestment Act grant funds in
partnership with Apple Inc., said Lynn McCawley, a county schools
spokeswoman."  Anecdotally, a family member who works in the DC school
system mentioned schools there are getting refurbished iPads to cut costs
while still providing new technology.  Perhaps that is the case here in
Prince Georges as well?
