The Hyattsville Life & Times in its new June issue does a little
myth-busting about area schools, finding amazing accomplishments during the
almost-concluded 2010-2011 academic year.  Learn, for example, which
regional middle school won top awards - and in some cases, swept all the
awards - in this year's Science Bowl, Destination Imagination, Martin Luther
King essay, Write-a-Book, Chorus, Band, Jazz Band and Orchestra
competitions. 

Also:  Why did County Councilman Will Campos not take questions at a crowded
Town Meeting?  (Did it have to do with the angry taxi drivers demonstrating
outside the room?)  More political wrangling over the site plan of a new
area elementary school.  And, looking toward summer, find out where you can
