On August 31, 2010, St. Jerome Academy stopped "teaching to the test." In
Spring 2011, the school's standardized test scores *increased* over the
previous year.

Almost a year into into its transformation into what the Washington Post
recently called a "lab for a cutting-edge trend in education," St. Jerome is
starting to show the fruits of its Classical education program.

Please join us this Wednesday, May 25th, at 7:30 p.m. for a talk on the
Educational Plan of St. Jerome Academy.

Dr. Michael Hanby, member of the St. Jerome Academy Curriculum Committee and
professor at the John Paul II Institute at the Catholic University of
America, will discuss the crisis of contemporary education and present the
philosophy and methods of St. Jerome's unique program, based on the
Classical Trivium.

The presentation will take place in the Gold Room, which is beneath St.
Jerome Church, located at 5205 43rd Avenue in Hyattsville. Wine and cheese
will be served.

Also, if you'd like to visit class sessions in progress, you're invited to
attend an Open House earlier that day, between 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. If that
day and time is inconvenient, please contact Chris Currie at
ccurrie at stjeromes.org to schedule a private tour at another time.
