Hello ATHA residents!
 
We have been working hard over here at ATHA Inc. to get our web based events calendar system working just right.  We still have a few items to work out, but I wanted to let everyone know that we have this weekends events listed.  Additionally, we have been collecting events for the holiday season and the upcoming year.  The hope will be that the Maryland Milestones/ATHA Inc. website will be your one stop for events and programs.  Click on Events for "general events" and look for "holiday events" under the drop down option for those in the month of December.  This can be found at www.anacostiatrails.org/wp/
 
We are still collecting additions to all of these calendars (especially the holiday set), so I hope you consider sending some if you have an event you would like listed.  We limit event listings to Culture, Nature, or History related.  We generally do not include business listings (i.e. movie times, coffee house programs), but may include them on twitter/facebook feed if you send them our way. There aren't many we won't turn down, but we will let you know if we need to turn it down for some reason.  We are here to promote heritage tourism, so that can be intepreteted pretty broadly.
You can sign up for our Twitter or Facebook feeds (as well as YouTube and Flickr) on our website.  If you are a non-profit which would like to have access to post your own information, let me know.  We are working on a membership plan, so I may be able to give you temporary access until that program is finalized.

So again - check out our website out - www.anacostiatrails.org/wp/.  We hope to transition everything to a new host and new system in January, but until then the beta site includes the events and some background information.
