*ArtsFest2012 NEEDS ARTISTS/ARTISANS IN 60 DAYS!*

*RIVERDALE PARK, MD., March 6, 2012* – This notice is a Full Employment Act
for Artists!

The Riverdale Arts Council sees light at the end of the recession tunnel
and orders all area and regional artists back to work immediately.

“It's time to check your supplies, your stock and begin producing your
unique wares for ArtsFest2012,” exclaims RPAC President *Emily Fanning*.
“We have hundreds, maybe a thousand, guests coming to the fifth annual arts
and music festival and all of us need to be ready.”

The annual event is set for Sunday, May 6, 11 am to 6 pm in Riverdale
Park's Town Center and will again be hosted by RPAC. The event will feature
more than three dozen local and regional artists, artisans and vendors
along with a handful of musical groups.

Artists are invited to complete and sign the attached *Call For
Artists*(.PDF file) and mail $15 checks payable to the Riverdale Park
Arts Council
in care of Town Hall, 5008 Queensbury Road, Riverdale Park, MD 20737 before
*April 16, 2012* (when the fee increases to $25).

On ArtsFest12 day, artists may begin setting up their spots Sunday at 8 am
in Town Center adjacent to the MARC Train Station at Queensbury Road.

Returning to the RPAC soundstage will be Oldies band *Wayne Brown & 2nd
Conspiracy*, bassist *Andrew Brown* and the jazz-infused,
Americana-marinated Alternative-Pop *Brulee*, and troubadour *Eduardo
Sanchez* will be back with a reconstituted *Grupo Impacto De Ases* playing
authentic, upbeat regional Mexican rhythm. *One String Willie* will again
tickle the crowd with his truly unusual one string instrument-making
workshop while the Archie Edwards Blues Heritage Foundation performs all
day.

All News WTOP-FM personality *David Burd* will again emcee the day’s events
delivering interviews with artists, musicians and local notables. A Feb. 12
article in *The Washington Post* cited Burd, a 28-year Washington radio
legend, for his “wit and personality,” a rare but welcomed trait at an
All-News radio station.

Riverdale Park’s very own *Active Cultures* theater group will again hold
free performances in the adjacent Douglas Development Little Theater.

Last year, ArtsFest2011 attracted 650 festival-goers and many attendees
danced to lively musical performances until sunset. Even the artists had
fun.

And artists can have fun again by locking into the day, May 6. Simply fill
out the attached Call For Arts form and send it back to us with a check
today. Questions? Don't hesitate to call RPAC President Emily Fanning at
301-864-5561 <file://localhost/tel/301-864-5561> or OurDollMom at aol.com. Or,
