[RP TownTalk] ArtsFest2012 is Today in Town Center

A dozen and a half Riverdale Park youngsters, dressed in period costumes
painstakingly handmade by Emily Fanning and Michelle Burns, will occupy the
Riversdale House Museum today acting as junior docents and taking on the
personas of the Calvert Family children. This is an exceptional event that
is not to be missed, all part of Riverdale Park's Arts Council's fifth
annual ArtsFest2012 beheld today 11 to 6 in Town Center.

A record 53 artists and authors have signed on along with more than five
musical acts that will perform all day long. The poetry slam begins just
after 11 am, taking winners from three area schools including Riverdale
Elementary and William WIrt Middle School.

WTOP-FM's David Burd will emcee the day's goings-on. There will be plenty
of food and beverages, wine and beer available for sale.
