*RIVERDALE PARK, MD., May 22, 2012* – Shopping in Town Center just got more
fun with tons of tasty choices. After a century on Riverdale Road, the new
Town Center Market, formerly known as Dumm’s Corner Market, opens
Wednesday, May 23 less than 100 feet away at 4705 Queensbury Road in a new,
ultra-modern location.

Customers can enjoy fresh bagels, just-brewed coffee, cappuccino, latte,
iced coffee, iced tea, as well as thousands of other snacks and food items.
In addition to an abundant assortment of regular grocery items, the new
Town Center Market will offer a selection of cheeses, meats and organic
eggs produced by local farmers often found at the Riverdale Park Farmers
Market.

The market’s state-of-the art 6,000-square-foot facility is triple the size
of the old market and offers nearly 40,000 fresh grocery and dry good items
including a wide selection of beers and wines. Town Center Market
represents a dramatic expansion of the staples offered by the historic
Dumm’s that served Riverdale for more than 100 years.

Town Center Market provides a superb selection of craft beers behind
two-dozen cooler doors. The significantly expanded wine list will have even
the most-expert enthusiast delighted as they stroll through isles of
selections from Europe, Australia, California, Maryland and Virginia. The
new wine section is certain to satisfy all tastes and budgets.

“We listened closely to our neighbors and patrons over the years and we
heard what they want and we intend to bring it to them,” said Jim
Spiropoulos, who, with his brother, Ted Spiropoulos, have spearheaded the
more than $1 million expansion of the market their father, Pete
Spiropoulos, began operating more than a quarter century ago.

“We also look forward to discovering new food and beverage delights and
bringing them into the market,” adds Ted, who says building the market’s
unique product line is one of the businesses main goals.

In addition to a new financial center that will offer a slew of services
including check cashing, money orders, Western Union, bill pay, lottery and
Kino, there will also be a coffee and lottery lounge with free Wi-Fi.

The handicap accessible market offers plenty of free parking for patrons
and is adjacent to the Riverdale Marc train station at Town Center, three
blocks east of US Route 1. Two blocks from Riversdale House Museum, the
market is just minutes away from the neighboring communities of College
Park, University Park, Hyattsville and Edmonston.

The Spiropoulos family has also created an expansive, beautifully
landscaped outdoor seating area where family, friends and coworkers can
gather and enjoy food and beverages.

New store hours are M-F: 6 am to 11 pm; Saturday, 7 am to 11 pm; and
Sunday, 7 am to 10 pm. For details, go to www.towncentermarket.net or call
Jim Spiropoulos at 301-758-3821.

*SAVE THE DATE**: Town Center Market will hold a Grand Opening Party on
June 17 featuring live entertainment, in-store promotions, beer and wine
tastings and special events sponsored by various vendors. *
