PGCPS Public Forums: School Boundaries (all start at 6 p.m.)
 

Tuesday, December 4 
Nicholas Orem
Thursday, December 6 
Middle Walker Mill Middle 
Tuesday, December 11  
Oxon Hill Middle 
 
Three Public Forums will be held to gather public input on school boundaries, grade structures and program changes. Suggestions will be incorporated into recommendations that the Department of Pupil Accounting and School Boundaries will make to the interim  Superintendent. All, some, or none of these recommendations may be put before the Board of Education for a vote. Before a vote takes place, changes would be the subject of formal public hearings. The following items will be discussed during the forums: 
 

Realigning the boundaries of Oxon Hill High to accommodate the reduced capacity of the replacement building 
Information regarding the new Hyattsville Area Elementary 
Transforming Accokeek Academy to a true K-8 by aligning elementary and secondary boundaries 
Consolidating the elementary and secondary Deaf & Hard of Hearing programs at William Hall Academy 
Implementing the following 6th grade to middle school conversions: 

• Benjamin Tasker Middle: Woodmore Elementary 
• Ernest Everett Just Middle: Ardmore Elementary & Woodmore Elementary 
• Greenbelt Middle: Magnolia Elementary 
• Hyattsville Middle: Hyattsville Elementary & Riverdale Elementary 
• Walker Mill Middle: Capitol Heights Elementary & John Bayne Elementary
