Ms. Mooney, I understand your viewpoint completely. Thankfully (and knock wood!) I don't really have the noise problem at this time, but I've had to deal with the loud music issue in the past. If people are playing loud music, esp. after 10:00 at night, isn't that against the law? I thought there WAS a law about excessive noise, I could be mistaken. If you have asked the neighbors to keep the music down and they keep playing it loud, to me that shows a complete disregard for their neighbors. And you've contacted the police who presumably have told the people to keep the noise down and it STILL continues? NOT very good. As you so rightly say, most people have to go to work; and as many people are now on flexible schedules, that could mean an earlier bedtime. It's a shame that people have to be reminded to be considerate of their neighbors, isn't it? Hopefully you can get this problem resolved soon. (and hope that your child who
just had surgery is doing ok)

Excuse me, Mr. York?!
"Or, get your biggest go cup, walk over, introduce yourself and pretend youare not dead."
Sweetheart, I AM dead - DEAD TIRED. I work two jobs, am raising 3 kids, one with special needs who JUST HAD SURGERY. I am constantly working to keep my home, family, self, finances, children in moderately good repair. I am DEAD TIRED and at ELEVEN O'CLOCK am TOTALLY SICK of having my house invaded by my neighbors loud music. God forbid the air is pleasant and I'd actually like to turn off my air conditioner and enjoy fresh air. Somehow my neighbors have hours and hours upon hours to sit outside and party while I'm working hard to pay bills, plan my meals, do my laundry, washing dishes, teaching my children, trying to have a relationship with my husband, etc., and all the other tasks us moms willingly do because we love our families. Wouldn't I just LOVE, oh LOVE to 'grab a go cup and walk ANYWHERE!'. But, HELLO, some of us work, and work hard, WHY, tell me, do I have to be DEAD to not be annoyed, bothered, distracted ,and frustrated that
I'm constantly having to listen to someone else's music?
Kudos galore to our lovely, local PD who has always graciously accepted my calls for help when I can't take it any more. I HAVE asked the neighbors personally and yet the music returns the next night. I'm HAPPY for them, that they can sit around with 30-40 friends and act like the outdoors is their own private disco - hurrah for them!!
You may have guessed this - I am extremely offended by your remark. It demonstrates a total lack of regard for other people and what their lives are like, and it is that attitude that breaks down the peace of a neighborhood. Think about it.
.

I live on Somerset and there is some very loud music being played. Does anyone know where or what it is?
Thanks.

I'm not there right this minute, but if you are disturbed by loud music,
you can call the "non-emergency" line for the police department and tell
them about it. They've been really nice about when I call. I always say,
"This is absolutely not an emergency, but... " because Saturday nights they
can get pretty busy, and I'd rather they prioritize thwarting actual crimes
over my irritation with loud parties.
