*The Riverdale Park Arts Council educates and works for the understanding
and appreciation of the arts for the Riverdale Park community and its
residents.*

*RIVERDALE PARK, Christmas Eve, 2013* – Are you a person who’s waited until
the last minute to get that special someone something *really *special and
you still need help with ideas? Great news! You can buy that special
someone special art created by local realistic visual *Malika Bryant *at
Town Center Market. Her solo exhibit is on display through January but, by
special agreement with the artist, pieces bought today and tomorrow may be
taken from the exhibit immediately after purchase.

Malika’s work focus on people of color, with vibrant images and serene
scenery. She has had great training. Malika is the first winner of the
coveted *Gerald King Fine Art Study Award*, being hand selected in 2012 by
Riverdale Park’s renowned realist artist, the late Gerald King. Malika now
serves on the board of directors of the Riverdale Park Arts Council and she
is a member of the Hyattsville Arts Alliance. She is a co-teacher at a
