[RP TownTalk] Riverdale Volunteer Fire Chief

On behalf of the Officers and Membersof The Riverdale Fire Department, Inc., I enthusiastically and respectfullyintroduce Volunteer Fire Chief Brian V. Carpio to the Town of Riverdale Park.  He has been certified by the Prince George’sCounty Fire Commission as a volunteer chief officer.  Brian grew up in the Riverdale areaand has returned to the community in the position of Volunteer Fire Chief.  Brian has been a member of the department for23 years and has served in all line and command officer positions except theposition of Volunteer Fire Chief.  
 
Brian has set thefollowing goals for the department, including:
 
·        Ensure that training isat the highest quality to ensure that members are operating safely and everyonecomes home
·        The firehouseproperty, inside and out, are kept clean and groomed
·        Keep in good standingwith the County’s fire department.
·        Continue goodcommunication with officials of the Town.
·        Ensure the citizensof  Riverdale Park are treated with respect
·        Increase membership byincreasing efforts to promote the department and benefits of helping others
·        Assist the departmentand the Town with anything that might arise to the best of his ability
