Won't let Jey do what? I have been hearing about Jey's almost sense I 
moved to town over 15 years ago. There seems to have always been a plan.

That building never was a place I wanted to stop, although I did by a 
new truck at the family dealership across the street.

For 15 years Jey's has been 'that place on the edge of town.' A run down 
building, cars being repaired parked everywhere, closed gas pumps, Signs 
needing repair, code violations, boarded up windows.

During the last few years every time Jey's come up he has a different 
plan; filling station, expanded car repair, conveniences store and 
lately a conveniences store or maybe a doughnut shop. Whenever action to 
clean-up that mess gets started, he has a new 'plan' and then nothing 
happens. His plans fall through because of funding, zoning, hazardous 
storage tanks, permits, there is always some reason. And yet the eye 
sore remains.

Not to compare Jey to my son, but this reminds me of my son not cleaning 
his room. He would put it off because he needed to - go to school, do 
his homework, work on his science project, play with friends, read a 
book. He always had a reason to put it off until his mother couldn't 
take it anymore and cleaned his room for him. He would complain but the 
room would be cleaned.

It does not take a surveyor to tell where Hyattsville ends and Riverdale 
Park begins. Just drive down Rt 1, a look at the buildings.  Its 
embarrassing..
