MARYLAND (WUSA9) -- Police confirm a fatal train accident on the
tracks between Hyattsville and Edmonston area.

At around 6:15 p.m., an adult male was trying to cross the train
tracks located on the 4500 block of Kennedy. That's when a commuter
train grazed the pedestrian on the face. He passed away on the scene,
officials said.

HYATTSVILLE, Md. (AP)- A man has died after being struck by a commuter
train in Hyattsville.

Hyattsville police said it happened on Monday around 6 p.m. near
Baltimore Avenue and Decatur Street. Police say the man was walking on
the tracks while the train was approaching. The train's conductor
sounded a horn, but the man did not move and was struck

MARC service on the Camden Line was affected by the accident, which
caused delays and cancellations. Police are continuing to investigate.
They did not identify the man who died.
