The following facility will serve as a 24 hour Warming Center beginning
tonight through Thursday, January 23, 2014.

Kentland Community Center
2411 Pinebrook Avenue
Landover, MD 20785.
(301) 386-2278 or TTY (301) 445-4512.

Over the next few days temperatures will be dangerously cold. The Warming
Center will provide a place for people to receive short-term emergency
shelters when temperatures become hazardous. We are encouraging all
residents without heat to utilize this facility to keep warm and safe.


The Prince George’s County OEM continues to monitor the weather conditions
and extreme cold.  For additional information and resources, residents are
highly encouraged to utilize:

• Prince George’s County’s CountyClick 311
• 211 MD  - Health and Human Services Resources
• MD 511 for Travel and Weather Conditions
• County website at www.princegeorgescountymd.gov
• Department of Public Works Snow Removal Request Form
• Also, residents are reminded to call 911 ONLY in cases of emergency.
